Noticing The Drastic Changes Here?

Yup.

We’re moving all of the content here to another site.

A monumental endeavor.

You’ve probably noticed the top navigation bars are thinned out substantially. A great deal of the content here was produced as private content, so through the platform this is produced on the opt-out of search engine crawls was chosen. So we are able to move those articles to a new site without it coming across as duplicate content, thank goodness, as it’d take such a gargantuan effort to re-write all that to avoid the engines seeing it as worthless copied content.

Also using a completely different type of builder, server, etc.  Things have improved technologically a great deal since this endeavor was first started in terms of ease of building, security, options, themes, etc.  SO much has improved.

So we’ll be continuing to remove the content and may end up ditching this domain all together.  We noticed early on how much people sometimes hated pronouncing “Maintenance Motions,” and leave it to me to figure out how to complicate things unnecessarily whenever possible. ;p

We also made another drastic move: We deleted ALLLLLL of our subscribers.

Yuppers.  Starting fresh and new.

Many of you have followed us for years, and you know where to find us.  And have.  And if you haven’t yet, you know how to reach me.

I have never stopped living the lifestyle I discuss in my content.  It has only served to benefit me, and I don’t see myself ever reverting back to a former form of diet or exercise, both of which were substantially different before this new path.

It’s been a long ride, now since 2005, and going public in 2008.  It has been awesome meeting new people virtually and learning from them as well.  We’re in such a completely different online world now from the early days when one could post a video and get quite a bit of attention very readily.  And although that scenario will likely never happen again, there are always other ways to reach out and connect with others that I will be exploring as I continue to live the lifestyle and share it with others.

I’ll be back here from time to time until we decide to take down the site and domain.  Cheers!

My Gym Memberships Over the Past Two Years

When the world was turned upside down back in early 2020, gyms were among the many businesses that were quickly forced to shut down. For those of us who use gyms as part of our lifestyle, we basically went into full panic mode…(well…maybe not quite full panic)…over how we would be able to continue our routines to maintain the results we’ve worked so hard for.

I’ve long used resistance bands for many of my workouts. I have my own that I’ve discussed many times, that use a double-banded style to help avoid injury on breakage. And, I’ve used the bands that my gyms supply if I’m going to do a band workout there.

But of course each of those band workouts at the gym, could almost always be done just as easily at home.

So I was able to transfer *most* of what I needed to home workouts. And after a short time, I dare say I even preferred this route, but it was most likely due to finding a new comfort zone, as we all tend to do. People love their comfort zones, even to the point of it working against them and their progress.

The one area I needed a machine for was my leg workouts. I had been used to using a leg press machine for years at that point, but had used high-resistance seated bikes for years before that. A family member had a stationary bike, so it was a perfect excuse to visit the family member and accomplish a workout goal at the same time.

Which one was more important to me…the family or the bike… I will not say.

(Joking)

The two gyms I had attended for many years were the more family-branch, nationally-known organizations that we all know by name. Those were closed and were going to do only exactly what their governors and local governments told them to do.

The more independent gyms had more options. And opened much sooner, with less restrictions on their patrons.

So I found myself trying one of the national chains that had local-ownership franchises. As you can see, I’m avoiding saying the names of any of these places simply because it’s not necessary and maybe a little to maintain my privacy. I of course have masses of fans and can’t be troubled with selfies and autographs.

;p

I hadn’t been to this style of gym since the 90’s when I first started going to gyms, the old Holiday Health that turned into Bally’s. The good ole days when the bodybuilder types were discovering how carbs and especially starches factored in to their workout goals. The atmosphere, in my opinion, was more of a “meat market” environment, whereas the other more national organizations seem more centered around family. I always preferred the latter, as the eye candy at the other style of gym is often just too distracting, and I’m there to get work done.

And nothing has really changed in that regard. What’s extra-interesting about this, is that the specific chain I’m referencing, had commercials featuring extremely attractive women (and men) as part of a sort of parody advertisement, claiming “we don’t have this type here” (and yes, it created some backlash in the process).

I’m sure you know exactly which gym I’m talking about based on that description.

Anyway, I joined, and stayed with them for almost a year. And saw an abundance of the aforementioned eye-candy, which although alluring, I really could’ve done without.

So I finally switched back to my old gyms, the family-style ones, once I was assured there would be minimal government interference in their operation. And as of now, there hasn’t been (I live in New York, where it seems government’s main objective is to interfere as much as possible).

Back for just a couple weeks now, it has been so cool to see some familiar faces here and there, see and talk to people I haven’t seen for over a year and a half, and am hoping, life will just return to normal as soon as it possibly can.

Disturbingly (Visually) Honest Drug Ad…Honesty in Advertising (for a change):

Have been wanting to make this video for literally years now, was always afraid someone would beat me to it.  Everyone has to keep in mind that drug ads are still relatively new; we did not see ads for dangerous prescription drugs up until the late 90’s, if memory serves, based on new laws that went into effect.

Since then, the medical industry has become so large that they float about one-fifth of the entire economy.

So stay sick people; our economy depends on it:

The Vegetable Police Hoopla

I will be adding a new video to the FacelessFatloss channel soon covering both my distilled water experiment as well as the dietary fat experiment.

In the meantime, I wanted to chime in on some youtube creator fodder in the vegan world of late.

Although I am not vegan, I utilize a vegan-style diet in a detox/cycling manner, and have for years.  Usually implementation of it is based on either how I feel, and the time of year so that I can best take advantage of produce that is available.

So I follow a good bunch of vegan channels in an effort to keep up with their community, and see what the latest/greatest finding are in this area, and because I support their ethics on the whole.

Kasey Stern is a mid-thirties youtuber who can be found via a search for “Vegetable Police” on youtube.  I have been following him for quite some time, his subscribers enjoying both his unique sense of humor as well as his honesty in his dietary journey.  On the latter point, much like me, he has dealt with chronic illness, doctors being of absolutely no help to him, and he used diet to help bring himself back to a state of health.  A concept, by the way, that doctors insisted was not possible.

He was a vegan, a strict one but with some minor cheating here and there, for ten years.

He then decided to go carnivore in the past month, in an effort to resolve the persistent gut issues that he has never been able to completely eliminate.

He had substantial success doing this.  He resorted to cow meat to do this, but has not elaborated much on exactly what he’s doing.  It is possible he is even exploring raw meat in this process.

I’ll admit I was disappointed in this new direction, even as a non-vegan.  I personally still do not eat cow meat, and haven’t for almost 30 years, but do consume dairy…which Kasey knows for certain he has a sensitivity to.

I am not making any judgements regarding his new direction.  Although disappointed, it’s mainly due to the vegan community being a unique one, an unfortunately maligned one as well, but for what I feel are often the wrong reasons.  So any time the community loses one of their own, it has a ripple effect across the board.

I thought perhaps some folks would be interested in hearing about his experiments and experiences.  He has not settled on a carnivorous diet as an end-all solution.  And I think most people understand that a vegan diet, especially under many conditions of illness, has tremendous potential to help restore health, as has been demonstrated repeatedly both anecdotally with online bloggers/vloggers, but also in institutional research and studies.

Check him out if ya get the chance, especially if you have any gut-related issues that are chronic and painful.  What works for him may not work for you!  But you can benefit from his experience just by learning from his experience.

Food Cycling Discovery

The article in the video referenced a study done on human participants whereby a group of 39 consumed extra calories over time in two forms: that of polyunsaturated fat, and that of saturated fat.

https://youtu.be/x5Yh6ayQJw8

The awesomeness here is that the conductors went the length of getting MRI’s from each participant, and were able to demonstrate the decreased visceral fat levels after two weeks of reducing or dropping most saturated fat from the diet.

Wow.

Are you gettin’ this folks?

This is a huge breakthrough.

Note an interesting side line here: In the 80’s low-fat foods were all the rage. I used to know kids back then who were avoiding dietary fats at all costs as an extreme measure towards accomplishing their body goals.

When the Atkins low-carb diet started gaining steam again in the 90’s, a near complete reversal of the low fat diet stance was taken; along the lines of dietary fat having little to nothing (in some circles) to do with body fat accumulation.

YET…look at the bodies in the 80’s, as compared to the 90’s.

Now I’m not claiming this is the SOLE cause; I personally DEFINITELY blame GMO foods in large part for the gargantuan obesity problem we’ve seen since around the early to mid 90’s…when, of course, GMO’s were introduced into commercial foods.

(Kinda an obvious “cause and effect” in my book).

And yes, there were other contributors.

But the above factors are worth noting and putting in your back pocket.

So I got to thinking…

We NEED dietary fats; I believe the research bears this out well, especially as it applies to brain health. I like my brain, so I want to keep it healthy.

Dietary fat can also help with satiation.

SO: In a radical stroke of brilliance unseen since the advent of the vegan hotdog-eating contests, I thought to myself: “HEY! What if I CYCLE my dietary fats in the same way I CYCLE my carbs?!?”

I squeezed out one of the last of my cheese-eating farts and began then and there dropping certain saturated fats from my diet…starting with the cheese.

Literally cut the cheese.

Then: I’m not real big on red meats (occasional bison), and I never eat cow, pork or lamb, so that wasn’t an issue.  Although poultry isn’t as much a concern (unless with skin), I decided to reduce that consumption, as well as eggs.  I do dairy only on the weekend anyway, so that is a part of my “on” cycle, as well as my “on carbs” cycle; mainly that of ice cream cheating and perhaps other fatty-carby cheating like occasional cheese cake.

You get the idea.

Another video and post coming soon with more details about my tactics and the supplement that I sincerely believe helps expedite results.

Happy New Year 2018

Hey everyone, this is Tim, and a Happy 2018 to all…

It is just about ten years that I started the Faceless Fat Loss efforts over on youtube.  Youtube has changed a lot since then, and particularly so in the past year.

I haven’t uploaded any video content in some time, yet I do check in regularly, and find comments left often (which I try to respond to) and a continuing-to-grow subscriber base, despite the lack of content.

I really appreciate that!  It has been a bonus to have more people recognize and appreciate the humor on my channel, a few subs even saying it warranted an instant like and sub button push.

I have started a new channel, uploaded a few videos to it, and am deciding on whether or not to pursue a new direction with my youtube efforts on that channel, one that delves heavily into my past and current philosophical and spiritual pursuits.  I’ve been fortunate in that regard to have some amazing experiences, at least according to those I have told some of my stories to.  Telling these stories would definitely make for some interesting youtube fodder, so I’m beginning to coordinate those efforts and determine what is realistic as far as producing the content, and what I’m comfortable talking about in that process.  The subject matters will often be very wayward, and a drastic departure from the fat loss video efforts.

BUT: On the note of fat loss, I recently came across, and have implemented, some absolutely amazing new research in the area of fat loss that virtually no one is talking about; so little is discussed on it, that I feel I need to jump on getting the info out there asap, so I’m also working out those details as well, as we speak.

I will never abandon the FacelessFatloss effort; don’t misunderstand.  I still live that lifestyle, I still look almost exactly the same, and always have.  And I don’t intend to lose those accomplishments.

So stay tuned!  And again, thanks for all your support, and have the Happiest of New Years.
